Vehicle Purchase and Payment Process

1. Pre Purchase

If you bid on a vehicle at any auction you should be prepared to immediately send funds in case you win the sale. If you bid on multiple vehicles at the same time, this same rule still applies. Also, when bidding on cars through ACV Auctions, you will see certain cars listed as "Live Appraisals". With these cars the seller will have up to 3 days to accept the highest bid after the sale has finished. Which means if you are the highest bidder on a "Live Appraisal" car you must keep funds aside throughout that entire time frame in case you win the sale. (Keep in mind each auction will also have buyer fees that will be added to your purchase if you win the sale)

2. After Purchase

Once you purchase a vehicle through any auction, please text your account manager, Damian, directly with the vehicle details and the name of the auction that you bought it from. This also applies to privately purchased vehicles that will be sold under the dealership.

3. Payment Process (ACV Auction Purchases / Paying via ACH)

  •  Send a screenshot of the total purchase price, including all auction fees and transportation (if applicable).
  •  We will confirm the total amount due.
  •  The total includes all costs + the $200 reassignment fee.
  •  After sending payment, please text me a screenshot of the receipt.
  •  Once confirmed, I’ll let you know once you’re all set to finalize the auction purchase.

* We accept payments via Zelle or wire transfer to the AutoMaul bank account only (Zelle is preferred).*

4. Payment Timing (Very Important)

Payment must be sent the same day that the vehicle is purchased/won.

5. Local Auction Purchases (Self-Pay)

If you’re paying the auction directly yourself:

  •  Text me the vehicle details and auction name.
  •  Send the $200 reassignment fee to the AutoMaul bank account (Zelle or Wire).
  •  We’ll ship the reassignment paperwork once we receive the title or you have it in hand.

6. Title Handling

If the auction has the title in hand, you can pick it up and complete the required information (we can guide you through that if needed).

We’ll move forward once either we receive the title or you confirm you’ll be picking it up.

Auction Locations

To see all the available auctions you have access to under the dealership you can go to auctionaccess.com on a PC. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on "Auction Locator". It will provide a map with a complete breakdown of all auctions, along with their name, address, and website link.

Getting Access to Auctions

You are required to signup for an account on edge pipeline to have the authority to buy and sell from most dealer auctions outside of Manheim, Adesa, Carmax Auctions, and ACV Auctions. Such as American Auto Auctions, or local dealer auctions that may be around you.

When you register for your account on Edge Pipeline you will see a list of all available auctions. If you click into an auction you'd like to attend. Select the "Attend Simulcast" button and you see the message "A handshake is required in order to attend this sale" reach out to your account manager, Damian, in order to receive access to this auction. We will take care of things on our side for you to receive access there. Just keep in mind we have to register for each auction separately and they require different things to register, so it may take up to a week to receive access.

If there is a local dealer auction that you'd like to attend that isn't on Edge Pipeline, you can send the name of the auction, and the address to your account manager, and we'll take the steps to register to that auction as well.

Also, access to Copart and IAAI auctions will be coming within the next month.

Transportation

Most auctions will have their own service for ordering transportation for vehicles won from their auction. For ACV Auctions we highly recommend adding your address to the account, if you haven't done so already. This will give you the ability to see the transportation cost in the listing of the vehicles you're looking to bid on. To add your address to the account you can ask your account manager, Damian, to do so. Provide him with the address you'd like the cars to be delivered to, state if it's residential or commercial, and if there are any days/times you wouldn't want a car delivered.

Also, ACV Auctions allows you to use their transportation service for vehicles purchased outside of their auction as well. Which means you can purchase a car at an auction like Manheim, then use ACV Transportation to get that car delivered to you. To order transportation through ACV in this way, login to ACV on a PC. Navigate to the "ACV Transport" tab on the top of the screen. Then press the "Get Quote" button. If you choose this option, you will be required to send the transportation fee to the AutoMaul account through Zelle or wire transfer the same day you make the order.
